How dare it snow in Azusa while I'm not there.
Sooo...
1. I now live directly next to a waterfall. The most soothing noise ever when falling asleep.
2. I have amazing chalet-mates.
3. The toilet at my house acts like a water gun when flushing.
4. I think the U.S. should change their currency to Rand.
5. Monkeys aren't cute.
6. Jess got locked into her room today and I've never laughed so hard in my life... she almost had to climb out the window on a ladder.
7. I think this is the most beautiful place on earth.
I start school this week, which is kind of annoying. I didn't really think about the whole 'school' thing when I signed up for this. I'm sure the classes will be amazing though. There was a beautiful thunder and lightning storm tonight. I really love my friends and all of the adventures we have together. I'll post picture's tomorrow... or when I get around to it. They have a little saying in Africa- 'T.I.A.' = 'This is Africa' = 'I'll get things done when I get around to it.' I'm pretty much okay staying for a while. :)

Airport Adventures
My mom is making me do this. As soon as I showed her Katie's blog for D.C., she fell in love with the whole blog idea. I still relate blogs to Alpha assignments. (yuck.) But at the very least, this could prevent the need for me to send out masses of emails.
So, I'm on my way to South Africa. I'm currently sitting in Washington D.C.'s Dulles Airport (still don't know how to pronounce Dulles) fulfilling my mom's wishes.
Here are some highlights of my travels thus far...
1. I found a mouse in the airport waiting area and fed him some cheese.
2. A woman in the bathroom told me I looked like I was going on a hike rather than going on a plane ride... this prompted me to apply some makeup and undo my headband/ponytail combination.
3. Someone asked me how long my "lay" was. I started laughing uncomfortably until i realized what he meant.
4. I've only cried one and a half times.
5. I nearly lost my balance and fell on a small child in the "let's put 2 seats in this giant platform of a vehicle" turbo-trolley.
6. I've worn my crocs and socks (together) since I left L.A. and felt entirely confident about the combination.
7. I sat next to an orange couple (spray tans gone bad?) on my flight to D.C.
8. I belched pretty loudly in the Red Carpet Club.
9. I've made several businessmen friends and think they are an interesting breed, but enjoyed the company.
10. United TVs are pretty much playing the news story of the plane landing in the Hudson River on repeat. Not sure if they think that's good rep?
Well, I have to go to the bathroom and that requires me to pack up my life that's now spread across the floor.
So, I'll see you in Africa! :)
p.s. I'm thinking of keeping my mouse friend. (You were right Tiffany, bringing Tupperware on the plane was a super good idea.) Maybe poke a few air holes at the top?
